Description
Žukotrlica is 1,000 metres long pebble beach, covering an area of 55,000 square metres. Traditionally, the plant Spanish broom used to be immersed in the sea or “rubbed” on this beach, in order to soften and thus be prepared for weaving, which is how the beach acquired its name (Spanish broom translates to “žukva”, while “to rub” translates to “trliti”).
